Metropolitan Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 32 has endorsed engineer and Councilwoman Angela Leet for Louisville mayor.
"During the current mayor's more than 7 years in office, crime and drug addiction have skyrocketed, making our job more dangerous and leading to lower police morale. We can't expect anything different if he's elected for a third term," said FOP Lodge 32 President Ryan Straw. "Angela Leet will bring so much more to the mayor's office such as her unique perspective, unwavering support for law enforcement, and new approaches to set Louisville on a better, safer path. We proudly endorse her for Louisville mayor."
This is the second FOP endorsement that Councilwoman Leet has received for November's general election. Earlier this month, she received the endorsement of FOP Lodge 77, representing Louisville Corrections Officers. Metropolitan FOP Lodge 32 represents Louisville's Probation and Parole Officers.
