Louisville, KY – Councilwoman and engineer Angela Leet announced today the hiring of Kyle Hagerty as campaign manager in her race to become Louisville's next mayor.
"We are excited to have Kyle join our team," said Councilwoman Angela Leet. "His willingness to take on tough challenges and his expertise winning campaigns makes him a perfect fit for our campaign team."
"This is the most critical race of 2018," said Hagerty. "People across this city are ready for a change, and now is the perfect time for a leader like Councilwoman Leet who offers a fresh perspective to tackling our toughest challenges."
Hagerty has worked in Kentucky politics for multiple election cycles. Prior to joining the Leet for Mayor Campaign, he worked as Executive Advisor at the Kentucky Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, and Deputy Political Director for the Republican Party of Kentucky.
In his most recent role with ABC, Hagerty focused on implementation of tobacco sales and access regulations including winning a multi-year contract from the FDA to fund continued efforts across the Kentucky.
During his time with the Republican Party of Kentucky, Hagerty worked with party leaders and volunteers from across the Commonwealth to plan and execute a first of its kind Presidential Caucus in March of 2016. As Deputy Political Director, Hagerty worked with candidates, party officials, and volunteers to elect the first Republican State House Majority in almost 100 years.
Hagerty earned a Bachelors degree in History and Political Science from the University of Kentucky and an MA in Political Science from Miami University (Ohio). He lives in Louisville with his wife Bridget.
